#33 team was a visit to Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on
Saturday, August 24 for the track's annual 'FREE Night in the Dirt.'
The weekly program paid $1,200 to the winner of the Super Late Model
portion of the show. Jesse James Lay placed third in heat race action,
but later suffered from power steering woes throughout the 30-lap
main event. Jesse eventually wound up twelfth in the final finishing

Jesse Lay Heads to MRP for Annual
Ike Moler Memorial
17, 2019) Jesse James Lay and his #33 team rolled
into Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio on Friday evening,
August 16 to compete in the annual running of the 'Ike Moler Memorial.'
The unsanctioned Super Late Model contest drew a solid field of
cars to vie for the $5,000 top prize. Jesse knocked down the nineteenth
quickest lap overall during qualifying prior to grabbing the fourth
and final transfer spot through his heat race. After starting the
50-lap main event from the outside of the eighth row, Jesse was
able to move forward in the race and crossed underneath the checkers

Lay Shows Serious Speed in North/South
Shootout Prior to Wreck...
11, 2019) The Outlaw Racing team traveled to they
nearby Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on August 8-10 for the
37th Annual 'North/South 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
once again presided over the weekend at the Cincinnati-area venue
and 53 competitors signed into the pit area for the crown jewel
spectacular. On Thursday night in the $10,000 to win 'North/South
Shootout,' Jesse James Lay qualified well and grabbed the third
transfer spot through his loaded heat race, but was later involved
in a hard, grinding wreck on lap 11 of the main event. His #33 machine
received heavy front end damage and Jesse was forced to retire from
the 50-lapper in the twenty-third position.
At Florence on Friday evening in the double set of qualifying heat
races, Jesse wound up finishing ninth in his first heat race of
the night and eighth in his final prelim. After placing ninth in
Saturday's consolation race, Jesse wound up tenth in the $2,000
to win Non-Qualifiers Race. Unfortunately, the Union, Kentucky driver
was unable to find a way into the 'North/South 100,' which was won

28, 2019) In the final tune-up leading into the
prestigious 'North/South 100,' Jesse James Lay and his #33 team
were at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday evening,
July 27. Jesse moved up one spot in his heat race to finish third
and later rolled off from the inside of the third row in the $1,200
to win weekly Super Late Model main event. With passing at a premium
throughout the 30-lapper, Jesse wound up fifth in the final rundown
at the nearby speedplant, as he trailed winner Kody Evans, Robby
Hensley, Josh Rice, and Trevor Landrum at the unfurling of the checkered

21, 2019) Jesse James Lay and his #33 team were
back in the pit area at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on
Saturday evening, July 20 for a weekly Super Late Model showdown.
Jesse scored a popular win in heat race action at his hometown track
and later started the $1,200 to win main event from the inside of
the second row. Jesse then raced hard all over the top five throughout
the 30-lap headliner and eventually wound up fifth at the checkered
flag behind only race winner Josh Rice, Robby Hensley, Trevor Landrum,

Ponderosa & Lake Cumberland
14, 2019) The #33 team headed south to Ponderosa
Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky and Lake Cumberland Speedway
in Burnside, Kentucky on July 12-13 for a pair of $5,000 to win
tilts. On Friday night at Ponderosa, Jesse James Lay ran fourth
in his heat race in preliminary action prior to vaulting up to tenth
in the main event. At Lake Cumberland on Saturday evening in a similar
unsanctioned contest, Jesse laid down the thirteenth fastest lap
overall during time trials, finished sixth in his heat race, and
later climbed past three competitors during the 40-lapper to capture
a solid eighth place effort - despite losing a tire. Full results

Lay and #33 Team Travels to Moler
7, 2019) Jesse James Lay and the Outlaw Racing team
ventured to Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio and Lawrenceburg
Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana on July 5-6 for a pair of $1,500
to win Super Late Model programs. On Friday night at Moler, Jesse
broke a rear-end in hot laps, but quickly made repairs to finish
second in the heat race. After starting fifth on the grid in the
headliner, Jesse was still feeling the effects of the rear-end issues
and slipped back to a twelfth place effort. At Lawrenceburg on Saturday
evening, Jesse placed sixth in heat race action and later blitzed
past seven competitors during the 25-lap sprint to bag a strong
fifth place performance behind only victor Josh Rice, Joe Brewer,

30, 2019) The #33 Outlaw Racing team made the short
trek to Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday evening,
June 29 for the annual running of the 'Ralph Latham Memorial.' The
Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again presided over the premier
event and a $12,000 top prize was up for grabs. Jesse James Lay
advanced to finish fifth in his loaded heat race prior to winding
up fourth in his B-Main. Unfortunately, those finishes were one
spot shy of transferring the Union, Kentucky driver into the 50-lap

Lay Sneaks Over to Moler; Sees Rain
Again at Florence...
15, 2019) Jesse James Lay and his Outlaw Racing
team made a last minute call to travel to Moler Raceway Park in
Williamsburg, Ohio on Friday evening, June 14 to do battle in a
$1,500 to win Super Late Model event. Jesse blew a tire in his heat
race and later pulled off early in the 25-lap main event to settle
for a fifteenth place showing. His son Austin Lay made his first
start against the Super Late Models and was credited with a respectable
thirteenth place performance in the unsanctioned contest. Tonight's
program at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky was then wiped out

on Saturday evening, June 1 for a weekly Super Late Model program.
Jesse ran third in his heat race and posted another top five performance
in the $1,200 to win feature event at the nearby 1/2-mile oval.
At the unfurling of the checkered flag following thirty green flag
circuits, Jesse was fifth behind only victor David Webb, Billy Green,

26, 2019) Jesse James Lay and his #33 team were
back in the pit area at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on
Saturday evening, May 25. An unsanctioned Super Late Model show
at the nearby 1/2-mile oval drew a strong 38-car field to do battle
for the $5,000 winner's check. Jesse, who has been consistently
fast all year long at Florence, won his loaded heat race over Darrell
Lanigan and Frank Heckenast, Jr. and later rolled off from the outside
of the front row in the 50-lap feature event. After running inside
of the top five early in the contest, Jesse was eventually caught
up in a skirmish caused by another competitor and was relegated

into Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday night, May
18. A weekly Super Late Model program was held at the nearby 1/2-mile
oval and a $1,200 winner's check was up for grabs. Jesse James Lay
improved three spots in his heat race to finish fourth and later
rolled off from the inside of the fourth row in the 30-lap headliner.
Jesse was then on the move again in the A-Main and blasted up inside
of the top five to finish in the fifth position behind only victor
